Colorado and Florida to Represent Big 12 Conference in 2026 NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championship

For the first time in the two-year history of Big 12 lacrosse, the league will have multiple teams compete in the NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championship, with Colorado and Florida earning bids to the 2026 field.

Colorado earned the No. 8 seed and will host Jacksonville on Friday, May 8 at 5 p.m. CT in Boulder. The Buffaloes won the 2026 Big 12 Lacrosse Tournament presented by Allstate, defeating Florida 8-6. This year marks Colorado’s fourth NCAA Tournament appearance and its first since 2019.

Florida will take on Denver on Friday, May 8 at 8 p.m. CT in Boulder. The Gators have made two consecutive national semifinal appearances and won back-to-back regular season Big 12 titles.

First and second round matchups will air on ESPN+, with the second round taking place on Sunday, May 10.

The Championship is a 29-team, single-elimination tournament with 15 automatic bids and 14 at-large selections. This year’s national semifinals and title game will take place May 22-24 at Northwestern University’s Martin Stadium in Evanston, Illinois.
