The 2025-26 Big 12 Athlete of the Year nominees will be featured in alphabetical order by school starting Monday, July 13, through Wednesday, July 22, at 11 a.m. CT and 2 p.m. CT.
Each institution nominated one male and one female athlete of any classification who competed for their institution during the 2025-26 school year. Student-athletes were required to be in good academic standing and must have participated in a league-sponsored sport.
The 16 full-member institutions that competed during the 2025-26 academic year are eligible.
The winners will be announced Thursday, July 23. Stay tuned to Big12Sports.com and the league’s social media platforms to see the remaining candidates.

TCU Female Athlete of the Year Candidate
Olivia Miles, Women’s Basketball
Gr., Phillipsburg, N.J.
Accomplishments
- Big 12 Player and Newcomer of the Year and a unanimous All-Big 12 First Team selection, while also earning consensus All-America recognition.
- Recorded six triple-doubles, the most in a season and career by a Big 12 player, and became one of only four players in NCAA history to reach 2,000 career points, 800 rebounds and 800 assists.
- Averaged 19 points, seven rebounds and six assists per game while leading the nation with 26 games of at least 15 points and five assists.
- The 2026 Bob Bowlsby Award winner was selected No. 2 overall in the WNBA Draft and earned Academic All-America First Team honors with a 3.75 GPA.

Duncan Chan, Men’s Tennis
Jr., Markham, Ontario
Accomplishments
- Big 12 Co-Player of the Year and an All-Big 12 First Team selection in both singles and doubles, while also earning ITA All-America honors in both disciplines.
- Achieved the ITA No. 1 doubles ranking during the season and finished the year ranked No. 3 nationally in doubles and No. 7 in singles.
- Compiled a 50-13 combined record while leading TCU in total, singles and doubles victories and posting a 17-7 mark against ranked opponents, including an undefeated Big 12 singles record.
- Helped lead TCU to the Big 12 Tournament title and the NCAA semifinals while earning Academic All-America First Team honors and maintaining a 3.54 GPA.
