Kansas’ Taylor Stanley (offensive and rookie), BYU’s Kelli Jo Burgess (defensive) and Baylor’s Isabela Haggard (setter) were recognized as the Big 12 Volleyball weekly award winners for Week 4 of the 2026 season.
 
Stanley earned both Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week honors after leading Kansas through a perfect final weekend of non-conference play. The freshman outside hitter sat inside the top five of the Big 12 in points per set (No. 1), kills per set (No. 2), total points (No. 3), hitting percentage (No. 5) and total kills (No. 5) for the week. She averaged 5.33 kills and 6.2 points per set while helping the Jayhawks to three straight-set victories over Wichita State, Mississippi and Grand Canyon. Stanley totaled 48 kills while hitting .456 and finished non-conference play ranked second in the Big 12 in kills per set (4.74) while leading the Conference in total points (199.5) and points per set (5.70).
 
Burgess anchored BYU at the net with 14 total blocks in two matches. The senior middle blocker’s 2.33 blocks per set ranked No. 5 nationally, as BYU posted a pair of sweeps over Weber State and Utah State. Burgess recorded a match-high seven blocks in each match and added 10 kills. For the season, Burgess now leads the country in blocks per set (1.87), with 56 total blocks through 30 sets.
 
Haggard guided Baylor’s offense to a 2-0 week at the Baylor Classic with 82 assists across six sets. The sophomore averaged 13.67 assists per set, the third highest in Division I for the week, while directing an offense that hit .279 and averaged 14.71 kills per set. Haggard recorded 37 assists against Incarnate Word before posting a season-high 45 assists in Baylor’s sweep of UTEP. The 45 assists were tied for the most assists among Big 12 players in a 3-set match this season. She added four kills, three service aces, 10 digs and five total blocks.
 
Joining Stanley, Burgess and Haggard on the Big 12 Starting Seven, which honors strong performances across the league, are Kansas’ Reese Messer, K-State’s Cadence Lundgren and Addison Massey and TCU’s Evan Hendrix. Messer directed a Jayhawk offense that hit .353 while averaging 13.17 assists per set (No. 6 nationally) during Kansas’ unbeaten week. Lundgren led K-State with 14 blocks, including a career-best 10-block performance against No. 20 Creighton, helping the Wildcats finish non-conference play undefeated (8-0) for the second time in program history. Massey paced the Wildcats with 36 kills and recorded her first career double-double with 20 kills and 15 digs in the ranked road win over Creighton. Hendrix powered TCU to a 3-0 week with 50 kills while averaging 5.00 kills per set, adding a pair of double-doubles as the Horned Frogs extended their winning streak to seven matches.
