Logan Phillip was named General Counsel for the Big 12 Conference in 2026. Previously, Phillip served as Interim General Counsel and Associate Vice President for Legal Affairs, advising the Conference through periods of commercial expansion, governance transition, and regulatory change.
In her current role, Phillip serves as the chief legal advisor to the Commissioner and Conference leadership, providing strategic legal guidance across conference governance, commercial transactions, intellectual property, and litigation management. She leads the Conference’s in-house commercial legal function and advises on enterprise-level media, sponsorship, licensing, technology, and NIL-related initiatives across the Big 12’s membership.
Prior to joining the Big 12 in 2020, Phillip held roles within intercollegiate athletics, including positions at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and Texas Tech University, and served as a legal extern with Spurs Sports & Entertainment.
A Grapevine, Texas native, Phillip earned her Juris Doctor with a concentration in Business Law from Texas Tech University School of Law and is a member of the State Bar of Texas. She graduated magna cum laude from Oklahoma State University with a major in Sports Media.
