Nick Williams

Title: Director - Competition

Nick Williams serves as the Director - Competition, joining the Big 12 in November 2021 as an Associate Director - Competition after serving as the assistant director for game operations for Ball State. He was elevated in January of 2025.
 
Williams provides support and administrative assistance for all conference championships.
 
In his role at Ball State, Williams oversaw game day operations for 18 sports including baseball, cross country and swimming and diving. He directed game management and operations for all sports and served as the MAC conference liaison. Williams was also the assistant tournament director for the 2021 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Regional in Noblesville, Indiana and served as the floor manager/practice coordinator at Banker’s Life Fieldhouse during the 2021 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament in Indianapolis.
 
Williams is a dual graduate of the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, earning his BBA and Master of Science in Sports Management. While at UIW, he was a club sports graduate assistant, responsible for the direction of 13 collegiate level sports. During his undergraduate studies, Williams worked as an athletics operations intern, aiding in the coordination and operation of athletics facilities and events. He also assisted the San Antonio Rampage, Spurs and AT&T Center as an event marketing intern, which included oversight of the planning, design, and operation of the organization’s float for the 2018 Battle of Flowers Parade and the planning and event setup for the San Antonio Spurs 2018 All-Star Voting campaign.
