Neyland Raper

Title: Director – Football Operations & Competition

Neyland Raper joined the Big 12 Conference as Director of Football Operations & Competition in August of 2024 after serving as the Director of Football Operations for Georgia from 2021-2024. He helped oversee team travel, on-campus recruiting, budgeting, creative media, and the daily schedule of players and coaches.

Raper joined the Georgia staff in August of 2017 as a Football Operations Assistant. After two seasons in Athens (2017-2018), Raper followed Mel Tucker to the University of Colorado as the Assistant to the Head Coach. However, he returned before the start of the 2019 season as the Assistant Director of Football Operations and Recruiting where he served on both the operations and recruiting staffs. 

Prior to his start in Athens, the Cleveland, Tenn. native graduated from Walker Valley High School before earning  a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management at the University of Tennessee. As a student in Knoxville, Raper was a student equipment manager as well as working on the athletics facilities staff.

 He married Brynne (Chappell) Raper on July 1, 2023
