Trinity, Texas - Oklahoma State carded a three-round total of
four-over-par 868 to win the 2005 Big 12 Men's Golf Championship by nine
strokes over Oklahoma at Whispering Pines Golf Club.
The Cowboys led every round of the championship en route to their fourth Big 12 title, first since 2000, and 49th conference title overall.
Oklahoma scored a 13-over 877 for second while Missouri finished third
at 21-over 885. The top three teams remained the same through every
round of the tournament.
Oklahoma's Anthony Kim captured medalist honors with an eight-under 208
after finishing as runner-up at the 2004 Big 12 Championship. OSU's Alex
Noren finished second at two-under 214 followed by his teammate Zack
Robinson in third place with a one-under 215. No one else finished the
tournament under par.
"I thought I played well and kept my head in the game," said Kim. "I had
to change my game a little bit because I like to hit the driver and you
couldn't do that on every hole on this course.
