Big 12 basketball season is about to begin and fans of the Conference will be able to access ample coverage from the league media day at Sprint Center in Kansas City on Wednesday, October 15.

For the fifth consecutive season, the Big 12 Digital Network will broadcast live from Sprint Center. Big 12 Insider Wendell Barnhouse will host the coverage, which will include interviews with selected student-athletes and special guests along with live streaming of each head coaches’ press conference.

ESPN will have extensive coverage as well, including a simulcast of the Big 12 Digital Network broadcast on ESPN3. ESPNU will broadcast a one-hour special on media day in the afternoon, slated for 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT. In addition to on-site interviews, ESPNU’s studio coverage will include previews of the conference, its teams and top early season games. The network will also utilize collected footage on its various platforms prior to the start of college basketball season.

Campus Insiders, a Big 12 digital partner, will also showcase the day on its platforms. Select one-on-one interviews from Big 12 Correspondent Kristen Keith will be part of Campus Insiders efforts, which will be broadcast at 5 p.m ET/4 p.m CT on CampusInsiders.com/Live. The archive and other on-demand coverage will be available on all Campus Insiders partner outlets, including CampusInsiders.com, 120Sports.com, and the rest of the Campus Insiders syndicated network following the show.

In addition to the extensive videos that will be posted, additional coverage on social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) will take place, with photos, quotes and more available at Big12Sports.com during the course of the day.
