Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas and Texas Tech all remain ranked. TCU is as high as No. 2 while OSU ranks as high as 11th, Texas at 18th and Tech at 19th. The league’s four ranked teams will be in action against each other this weekend as Texas travels to Oklahoma State at Texas Tech hosts TCU.

At the halfway point in the regular season, six of the league’s nine teams own winning records and the conference is 114-74 in non-conference contests. Four league series along with 11 non-conference games are slated for week eight action.

Oklahoma State won its ninth consecutive Big 12 series last weekend. It marks the longest streak in program history. The Cowboys won eight straight league series over the 2006-07 seasons.

The Cowboys will face league-leading Texas this weekend in Stillwater - a series that features two of the top pitching squads in the conference. Saturday and Sunday’s contests will be televised on ESPNU. OSU hasn’t lost a home conference series since 2012 (May 16-19 vs Texas A&M).

Four league pitchers threw complete games over the weekend including two consecutive from Baylor starters. Daniel Castano and Drew Tolson became the first pair of Baylor starting pitchers to post back-to-back complete games (both wins) since 2001. Oklahoma State’s Michael Freeman threw his second straight complete game on Sunday against K-State, taking a no-hitter into the ninth inning.

The TCU pitching staff has held its opponents to five runs or fewer in all 21 of the Frogs’ wins this season. Of TCU’s four losses, three have been by just one run, including a pair in extra innings.

Connor McKay (KU, 15 games), Ryan Sluder (OSU, 11 games) and Blair Beck (KU, 10 games) all enter the week with active hit streaks of 10 games or more.

Five conference teams rank in the top 30 nationally in average attendance - 6. Texas, 12. TCU, 14. Texas Tech, 24. K-State and 28. Baylor.

Five league teams are in the top 50 nationally in ERA - 1. TCU, 15. Oklahoma State, 20. Texas, 30. Oklahoma and 44. Texas Tech.

The Big 12 leads all leagues with five baseball student-athletes on the Senior Class Award 30-man candidate list - Logan Brown (Baylor), Gage Green (Oklahoma State), Jon Perrin (Oklahoma State), Parker French (Texas) and Bryant Burleson (Texas Tech).
