IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 Conference has announced the 2026 baseball league schedule. Each program will play 10 of the 13 possible opponents for a total of 30 Conference games.
Conference play will begin the weekend of March 13 and wrap up on the weekend of May 15. While most series are scheduled for Friday-Sunday, games involving BYU and the season’s final series are scheduled Thursday-Saturday. In addition, teams may move the April 3-5 series to April 2-4 by mutual agreement.
The 2026 Big 12 Baseball Tournament presented by Allstate will be played at Surprise Stadium, the spring training home of the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers, located in Surprise, Arizona. The top 12 teams in the regular season standings will compete in the tournament. Arizona took home the 2025 Big 12 Baseball Championship title after defeating TCU 2-1 in 10 innings for the program’s first Big 12 title.
West Virginia clinched its first outright Big 12 regular-season title in program history
after tying a program record with 19 league wins in 2025. The Mountaineers finished with 44 wins overall, the most in program history.
Last season, the Big 12 tied the Conference’s record with eight of its baseball programs selected to the 2025 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, tying the mark set in 2009. It was the fourth consecutive season and the 22nd time in 28 seasons that the league earned five or more bids.
Arizona and West Virginia moved on to the NCAA Super Regionals, marking the seventh consecutive year that multiple Big 12 teams reached the NCAA Super Regionals. The Wildcats then advanced to the NCAA Men’s College World Series to mark the 10th time in the last 11 years that the Big 12 has sent at least one team to Omaha. Four current members (Arizona, Oklahoma State, TCU and Texas Tech) have reached the event in that span.
