About the Championship
For the second consecutive season, the 2016 Big 12 Rowing Championship will take place at Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Hosted by the University of Tennessee, the event will mark the fifth consecutive season the championship has been recognized as a fully supported conference event.
The Alabama Crimson Tide, Old Dominion Monarchs and Tennessee Volunteers will join Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Texas and West Virginia as affiliate members to compete for the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Rowing Championship. The Longhorns are coming off its five conference championship in seven years.
