UCF Captures 2025 Big 12 Rowing Championship

SARASOTA, Fla. - UCF swept all six races to win the 2025 Big 12 Rowing Championship. The Knights secured the program’s first Big 12 title in the sport.
 
The UCF 1V4+ finished in 7:22.231, pulling away for a seven-second victory over Kansas State. The Knights’ Second Four found open water to defeat the second-place Wildcats by nearly 14 seconds. In the exhibition 3V4+ race, UCF posted a time of 7:50.026.
 
UCF’s Varsity Eight had open water as they captured a 16-second victory over Tulsa, crossing the finish line in 6:22.086. The Second Eight finished in 6:35.960, almost 16 seconds ahead of Tulsa.  The 3V8+ had a time of 7:00.147, capturing the day’s first scoring race by over 15 seconds.
 
Tulsa finished second with 65 points, behind UCF’s perfect score of 84. Kansas was third with 52 points, followed by Kansas State with 49, Old Dominion with 24 and West Virginia with 19.
 
The Knights capture the Big 12’s automatic bid to the NCAA Championship, giving the program its first trip to the event since 2019. The NCAA Championships take place May 30-June 1 in West Windsor, N.J., with the full field announced on May 20.
