Here are the league notes for week 11 of baseball:
- In week seven of league play: Oklahoma visits West Virginia, TCU faces Texas Tech, Texas travels to Oklahoma State, and Baylor heads to Kansas. The Horned Frogs/Red Raiders series is the first top 10 league matchup this season.
- In week six of conference action: Kansas and Oklahoma State earned series wins on the road while TCU and Kansas State won their league series at home. All series were won 2-1.
- With Texas Tech and West Virginia losing their series last weekend, TCU has a two-game lead in the regular season standings. The Horned Frogs were only one of two teams in the top five of the standings who won their series. The other was Kansas.
- Through Sunday’s games, the league has 44 percent of its teams in the RPI top 15, the most among all conferences. The RPI is as follows:

- The leagues holds a 162-67 (.707) record over non-conference opponents this season.
- The league holds a 34-24 (.586) record over Power 5 Conference teams, having 13 wins over Pac-12 opponents and 11 wins against the SEC.
- Offensively, Texas Tech leads the way with a .300 batting average while Texas tops the pitching statistics with a 2.85 ERA. OSU’s Garrett McCain leads the league with a .372 batting average and .489 OBP.
- Seven of the league’s teams are receiving votes in at least one poll nationally, including seven in the NCBWA poll. Texas Tech leads with multiple top five rankings. Texas Tech is also in the top 10 in all five polls.
- K-State’s Jake Scudder recorded Big 12 Player of the Week honors after he helped the Red Raiders earn a series win over West Virginia. Oklahoma State’s Carson Teel was named Pitcher of the Week for his second career allocate while K-State’s Will Brennan earned Newcomer of the Week for the second time this season.
- Through Sunday’s games, Texas is ranked second in the nation in double plays (48).
- Texas Tech’s Steven Gingery is ranked first in the nation for victories this season. He is currently 8-0 on the mound with a 1.49 ERA.
