The 2017 All-Big 12 Women's Golf Team is highlighted by Amy Lee (Baylor) earning Player of the Year honors. The junior is joined by Freshman of the Year Greta Voelker (Texas) and Coach of the Year Ryan Murphy (Texas).
Lee makes history as the first Bear to be awarded the top conference honor. During the year, she earned five top 5 finishes, including two tournament victories at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic and the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown. Between the fall and spring seasons, the Orange County native averaged 71.97 strokes.
Freshman of the Year Voelker averaged 72.87 strokes on the season, and includes top 10 finishes in three events and nine in the top 20. Voelker is the first Longhorn since Keeley Louth won the honor in 2005.
Coach Ryan Murphy captured the first All-Big 12 award of his career and the first for Texas since 2003 after leading his team to the 2017 Big 12 championship title. Under Murphy's supervision, UT has placed in the top 3 six times this year.
In addition to the individual awards, 10 golfers were named to the All-Big 12 Team. The honor is determined by the average Golfstat and Golfweek national rankings and must have participated in eight rounds of golf.
