Texas and Texas Tech will host NCAA Super Regionals this weekend beginning Saturday, June 9 and continuing through Monday, June 11 (if necessary).
The Longhorns (40-20) powered through the Austin Regional and went 3-0 with victories over Texas Southern (10-0), Texas A&M (8-3) and Indiana (3-2). As the No. 13 national seed, UT will host Tennessee Tech (52-10), who knocked off No. 4 national seed Ole Miss in the Oxford Regional. The three-game series will begin at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday, June 9 continue through Monday, June 11 (if necessary) in Austin.
Texas Tech (42-17) also went 3-0 in the Lubbock Regional with wins over New Mexico State (9-2) and two victories over Louisville (10-4, 11-6). The Red Raiders are the No. 9 national seed and will host Duke in a three-game series beginning on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Lubbock. The Blue Devils (44-16) defeated host Georgia to win the Athens Regional.
