The Big 12 Conference has announced its 2027 baseball league schedule. Each program will play 10 of the 13 possible opponents for a total of 30 Conference games.
Conference play will begin March 18 and conclude the weekend of May 21. While most series are scheduled for Friday-Sunday, games involving BYU and the season’s final series are scheduled Thursday through Saturday. In addition, teams may move the March 26-28 series to March 25-27 by mutual agreement.
The 2027 Big 12 Baseball Tournament presented by Allstate will return to Surprise Stadium, the spring training home of the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers, and will be held May 25-29 in Surprise, Arizona. The top 12 teams in the regular season standings will compete in the tournament. Kansas won the 2026 Big 12 Baseball Tournament to become the first Big 12 member to win both the regular season title outright and the tournament trophy in the same season since 2009.
The Big 12 sent six teams to the 2026 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, extending the Conference’s streak to five consecutive seasons and the 23rd time in 29 seasons that the league has earned five or more bids.
Kansas and West Virginia gave the Conference two super regional hosts for the first time since 2021. The Mountaineers advanced to the NCAA Men’s College World Series for the first time in program history to mark the 11
th time in the last 12 postseasons that the Big 12 has sent at least one team to Omaha. Five current members (Arizona, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech and West Virginia) have reached the event in that span.
