South Dakota State’s Henry Pohlmeyer has been named the Big 12 Wrestler of the Week for Week 10. This serves as the first Conference honor of the season for the senior.
Pohlmeyer helped lead the Jackrabbits to a pair of Big 12 dual victories, winning two matches against ranked opponents. Against Northern Iowa he recorded a 9-1 major decision over No. 7 Max Thomsen. Pohlmeyer followed that performance with a 6-2 decision over No. 19 Jaron Jensen, helping South Dakota State to the win over Wyoming. The senior is now 11-3 overall this season and 4-1 in duals.
