Eight Big 12 tennis student-athletes have been named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American.
On both the men’s and women’s side, Texas received two singles honorees, while Oklahoma State picked up the accolade for a doubles pairing.
For the men, Yuya Ito and Christian Sigsgaard represented the Longhorns for the second consecutive year as singles All-Americans. The Cowboys duo of Dominik Kellovsky and Matej Vocel earned their first career All-American honor.
The Conference also boasted four women’s selections, as twin sisters Anna and Bianca Turati of Texas checked in as singles honorees, with Oklahoma State’s doubles pairing of Ayumi Miyamoto and Lisa Marie Rioux garnering All-America status.
Since the league’s inception in 1996, the Big 12 has tabbed four or more ITA All-Americans 19 times on the men’s side and seven times for the women, including each of the last three seasons.
After the shortened 2020 season, this year’s All-Americans were selected based on the unpublished, double run of ITA singles and doubles rankings. Twenty singles players and 10 doubles pairings per side received the honor.
