A pair of pitchers and an infielder were honored with Big 12 Baseball weekly awards for Week 12.

Texas’ Zach Zubia was tabbed the Big 12 Baseball Player of the Week, while Oklahoma State’s Justin Campbell was honored as Pitcher of the Week. Oklahoma’s Braden Carmichael collected Newcomer of the Week recognition. A five-person media panel selects the honorees.

Zubia hit .333 (6-of-18) while smashing three homers and a registering a triple during the week. The junior drove in a team-high seven runs. In the series-clinching win at No. 3 TCU, the infielder went 3-for-5 with two homers and a two-run single to finish with four RBIs.

Campbell became the ninth pitcher in program history to throw a no-hitter in OSU's series-clinching win at Kansas. Campbell's performance saw him strike out 11 and surrender one walk, that coming with one out in the eighth inning and being all that stood between the right-hander and a perfect game. The second-year freshman improved to 5-1 on the season with the 99-pitch outing. With his performance, Campbell became only the third pitcher in the 110-year history of OSU baseball to throw a no-hitter in a nine-inning game. The no-hitter is the 11th in program history, with two of those a combined effort. Campbell's no-hitter is also the 19th in Big 12 Conference history and the 12th by an individual.

Carmichael pitched seven no-hit innings in Oklahoma's series-clinching 9-1 victory at West Virginia on Saturday. The sophomore registered a career-high 10 strikeouts, and retired 13 straight batters from the third through seventh innings. He exited the game only after an error to begin the eighth inning, having thrown 124 pitches. OU carried the no-hitter into the ninth inning.

The pitching honor is the second for Campbell this season, while Zubia and Carmichael are first-time selections in 2021.
