IRVING, Texas — The 2022 Big 12 Tennis Championships open Thursday, April 21 and continue through Sunday, April 24 at TCU’s Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

The event begins with the first round of the women’s bracket as No. 8-seed TCU faces No. 9-seed Kansas State and No. 7-seed Iowa State takes on No. 10-seed West Virginia. Both matches will take place at 10 a.m. CT. The quarterfinals are set for Friday with the first two matches slated for 9 a.m. CT. No. 4-seed Baylor will be matching up with No. 5-seed Kansas and No. 2-seed Texas facing either the Cyclones or the Mountaineers. At noon CT, the winner between the Horned Frogs and the Wildcats will take on top-seeded Oklahoma while No. 3 Oklahoma State competes against No. 6 Texas Tech.

The Saturday semifinal matches will both take place at noon CT and the championship match will be contested at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

The women’s bracket features eight ITA ranked teams with No. Oklahoma and No. 4 Texas representing the Big 12 in the top five. The Conference boasts 19 ranked singles players and nine ranked doubles pairs.

The men’s championship is slated to begin at 3 p.m. Friday as No. 4-seed Texas Tech battles No. 5-seed Oklahoma and No. 3-seed Texas faces No. 6-seed Oklahoma State. The winner between the Red Raiders and the Sooners will advance to the semifinal match against top-seeded TCU while the winner between the Longhorns and the Cowboys takes on No. 2-seeded Baylor. Both semifinal matches are set for 3 p.m. Saturday. The championship match will take place at 4 p.m. Sunday.

All six men’s squads represent the Conference in the ITA rankings with No. 1 TCU and No. 4 Baylor leading the way. The Big 12 places 17 ranked singles players and 11 ranked doubles pairs.

Both finals will be broadcast on Big 12 Now on ESPN+. Live results will be available for all matches.
