Oklahoma State’s Chase Adkison (co-player) and Nolan Schubart (newcomer), West Virginia’s JJ Wetherholt (co-player) and TCU’s Kole Klecker (pitcher) were voted as Big 12 baseball weekly award winners for games ending May 14.
 
Adkison hit .636 (7-for-11) with a home run, triple, eight RBIs and a 1.805 OPS to lead the Cowboys to a series win over Kansas State. The junior catcher had multiple hits and drove in multiple runs in all three games. In Saturday’s game, he finished a double shy of the cycle, going 3-for-4 with a walk and four RBIs. The Grangeville, Idaho native threw out two potential base stealers and picked off two more runners. It is his first Big 12 weekly honor.
 
Wetherholt hit .500 (8-for-16) with two home runs, two doubles, four RBIs and a 1.579 OPS as the Mountaineers picked up a series win against Texas Tech. In a midweek win over Pitt, he was 3-for-4 with a home run and a double, then proceeded to have two multi-hit games in the weekend series against the Red Raiders. The Mars, Pennsylvania native added two steals and struck out just once in 19 plate appearances, picking up his third Big 12 Player of the Week honor of the season.
 
Klecker allowed just three hits and one run through 7.0 innings in a win over Baylor, picking up his eighth victory of the season. The freshman took a no-hitter into the fifth inning and held Bears hitters to a .130 batting average. The righty from Chandler, Arizona walked three and struck out two as he collected his first Big 12 weekly award.
 
Schubart was 7-for-14 (.500) with two home runs, a double and a team-leading nine RBIs. The Durand, Michigan native hit safely and drove in multiple runs in all three games, highlighted by a 4-for-5, four-RBI performance in the series opener. In Sunday's finale, he blasted a three-run homer in the first inning to give the Cowboys a lead they never surrendered. The freshman left fielder had a 1.467 OPS to collect his second consecutive Newcomer of the Week honor and third of the season.
