The Big 12 had six teams selected to the 2026 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship that will play in the NCAA Regionals round. NCAA Regionals play begins on Friday, May 29 in a double-elimination format.
It is the fifth consecutive season and the 23
rd time in 29 seasons that the league earned five or more bids. It is also the ninth time in the last 11 seasons that the Conference has had multiple Regional hosts.
After clinching its first Big 12 regular season title and becoming the first Big 12 member to win the regular season title outright and the tournament trophy in the same season since 2009, Kansas (42-16) will host the NCAA Regional round for the first time in program history. The Jayhawks will open the regional with a bout against Northeastern (38-20) at Noon CT on ESPN+. Arkansas (39-20) and Missouri State (34-19) complete the Regional.
West Virginia (39-14) completes the Conference’s selections with the No. 16 national seed and will host the Morgantown Regional. It is the second time the Mountaineers will host and the first since 2019. They will take on Binghamton (31-20) at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN+, with a matchup against either Wake Forest (38-19) or Kentucky (31-21) set for the second day.
Arizona State (37-19) will travel to the Lincoln Regional and play Ole Miss at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. MST on ESPNU on Friday night in their 43
rd NCAA appearance in program history. No. 13 national seed Nebraska (42-15) and South Dakota State (24-31) await the teams in the second game of the regional.
UCF (31-21) earned its second NCAA Regional appearance in three years, 14
th in program history, and will take on NC State (32-22) on Friday at 6 p.m. ET on ESPNU. No. 4 nationally seeded Auburn (38-19) and Milwaukee (25-31) round out the four-team field in the Auburn Regional.
Cincinnati (37-20) secured its second consecutive NCAA tournament appearance and will open its postseason schedule against Louisiana (39-23) at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+. The Starkville Regional is rounded out with No. 14 nationally seeded Mississippi State (40-17) and Lipscomb (29-24).
Oklahoma State (37-20) tallied its 51
st NCAA Regional bid in program history, extending its consecutive streak to 13. The Cowboys will take on USC Upstate (33-28) in the opener at 1 p.m. CT on ESPN+ with No. 7 national seed Alabama (37-19) and Alabama State (34-21) also in the Regional in Tuscaloosa.
The Big 12 has sent at least one team to nine of the last 10 Men’s College World Series. All games of the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship are available on the ESPN family of networks.
