Arizona State has secured the program’s first Big 12 volleyball title in its inaugural season in the Conference. The Sun Devils (28-2) are 16-1 in league play with one match remaining in the regular season.
This is Arizona State’s first conference championship in program history and the 16 wins are the most league victories in a single season in program history. The Sun Devils receive the Big 12’s automatic bid into the 2024 NCAA Volleyball Championship.
ASU is the eighth-ranked team in the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s (AVCA) Division I Coaches Poll and ranked No. 9 in the RPI. Arizona State has five wins over ranked teams this season and is 49-11 in sets during Big 12 play.
The Sun Devils lead the league in opponent hitting percentage (.156) while Claire Jeter is atop the Conference standings with a .435 hitting percentage.
The Big 12 is one of three leagues nationally with at least five ranked teams in this week’s AVCA Top 25 while the Conference is one of two leagues with six teams inside the top 25 of the RPI.
