Baylor’s Devin Badenhorst earned the first Big 12 Men’s Tennis Player of the Week award for the 2025 season.
Badenhorst opened the season with a combined 3-0 record in singles and doubles in the Bears’ double-header against Abilene Christian and Lamar. The sophomore helped Baylor sweep both opponents 7-0 with doubles victories in both matchups.
Against Lamar, he teamed up with Zsombor Velcz for a 6-1 win on the top court before adding another doubles win against Abilene Christian on the third court alongside Luis Jose Nakamine (6-1). It is his first Conference weekly accolade and joins Tadeas Paroulek as the only two Bears to be named Big 12 Men’s Tennis Player of the Week since 2023.
The two wins for the Bears mark the 19
