TCU’s Men and OSU’s Women Voted as Big 12 Preseason Tennis Favorites

The TCU men's and Oklahoma State’s women's tennis teams were voted as the favorites to win the Conference by league coaches in the 2025 Big 12 Tennis Preseason Polls. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own teams.

The Horned Frogs, coming off their first NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis title in program history, tallied seven first-place votes and 63 points. Arizona followed with the final two first-place votes and 57 points in its first season in the Conference while Baylor rounded out the top three with 47 points. Arizona State, Oklahoma State, UCF, Texas Tech, BYU and Utah completed the nine-team men’s poll.

After finishing the 2024 regular season undefeated and winning the Conference Championship and regular season title, the Cowgirls were selected as the unanimous preseason favorite with 15 first-place votes and 225 points in the Conference’s first year with 16 women’s programs. Baylor finished with 192 points while UCF recorded 189 points. In its Big 12 debut season, Arizona State grabbed the last first-place vote and 184 points followed by Texas Tech, BYU, TCU, Kansas, Arizona, Kansas State, Iowa State and Colorado. Houston and Utah both earned 62 points while West Virginia and Cincinnati rounded out the poll.

The Conference will begin league play on the women’s side on February 27 while the men will begin March 13.
