The 2025 Big 12 Cross Country Championship Presented by Allstate will take place on Friday, Oct. 31, in Lawrence, Kansas, hosted by Kansas University at Rim Rock Farm.

The men’s 8K starts at 10 a.m. CT, followed by the women’s 6K at 11 a.m. CT. Awards for both races will be presented after the women’s race, with the top 15 finishers from each race being named to the All-Big 12 team.

BYU swept the Big 12 Cross Country Championships last year, as the women picked up their second title and the men pocketed their first Big 12 title since joining the conference in 2023. Both BYU teams would later claim NCAA national championships last season as well to become the fifth Division I school to win both the men’s and women’s championship races in the same year since the NCAA started hosting both championships in 1981.

The Big 12 is home to three of the top five men’s programs in the latest USTFCCCA Division I Coaches Poll, and four of the top 10 teams, with Iowa State at No. 1, Oklahoma State at No. 2, Colorado at No. 5 and BYU slotted at No. 8. On the women’s side, the league is represented by six teams in the top 20, with BYU at No. 1, Iowa State at No. 6, West Virginia at No. 7, Oklahoma State at No. 11, Colorado at No. 16 and Utah at No. 18. The Big 12 is the only league to have at least three teams across both divisions ranked in the top ten heading into championship weekend.
