TCU’s Jack Pinnington (men’s) and Texas Tech’s Yekaterina Dmitrichenko (women’s) took home the final Big 12 tennis weekly honors for the 2025 season.
Pinnington led TCU to sole ownership of the Big 12 men’s tennis regular season title by contributing to two of the Horned Frog’s four points in the 4-0 victory over the Bears and a win over SMU. The junior finished the week 3-0 with all three wins coming against ranked opponents. In doubles, he teamed up with Cooper Woestendick for a 6-2 win over SMU’s Georgi Georgiev and Ofek Shimanov (No. 68) as well as a 6-3 victory against Baylor’s 25
th-ranked duo of Oscar Poulsen and Marko Miladinovic. He added a win on the No. 1 singles court over No. 39 Devin Badenhorst (6-4, 7-6(3)) to move to 8-4 this season against ranked opponents.
Dmitrichenko helped the Lady Raiders to a share of the Conference title as she picked up two ranked singles wins in Texas Tech’s wins over No. 30 Arizona and No. 33 Arizona State. On the No. 2 singles court, the junior clinched the final match of the season with a 7-5, 6-1 performance against No. 123 Midori Castillo-Meza to clinch TTU’s first share of the Big 12 regular season title since 2017. It was her second ranked singles win of the week after a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 victory over Arizona State’s Emilija Tverijonaite (No. 49). The Kokshetau, Kazakhstan native also recorded a 6-2 doubles win with Hailey Murphy against the Sun Devils, to improve her record to 3-0 for the week. She has now won eight consecutive matches in singles play and improved her dual singles record to 17-1 this season.
