K-State’s Carla Bernat was named Big 12 Women’s Golfer of the Year to headline the 2025 Big 12 Women’s Golf Awards. Arizona’s Giovana Maymon was named Coach of the Year, while TCU’s Camille Min-Gaultier (freshman) and Arizona State’s Grace Summerhays (scholar-athlete) additionally received recognition.
Bernat won a pair of tournaments and posted seven top-five finishes in 11 events to become the first Wildcat since Christine Boucher in 2004 to earn player of the year honors. The senior from Castellon, Spain posted 24 rounds of par-or-better and was at least even par in every event this season. The winner of the 2025 Augusta National Women’s Amateur, she finished second at the Big 12 Championship and holds a 70.1 stroke average.
Min-Gaultier becomes the second TCU player to earn Big 12 Freshman of the Year, joining Caitlyn Macnab in 2022. The La Londe-les-Maures, France native finished every event in the top 25, including four top-10 finishes. She averaged 72.2 strokes per rounds and had nine rounds in the 60s.
Summerhays becomes the first Sun Devil to win Scholar-Athlete of the Year, securing the award after posting a 3.99 GPA with a Communication major. On the course, the senior from Scottsdale, Arizona holds a stroke average of 73.8 and had five top-25 finishes, including a T-23 at the Big 12 Championship.
Arizona’s Giovana Maymon was selected as Big 12 Coach of the Year, after leading the Wildcats to a thrilling playoff victory to capture the team title at the Big 12 Championship. In her first season in Tucson, she led the program to the No. 18 national ranking and a pair of tournament victories, while securing the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Lubbock Regional. Both Coach of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year were determined by a vote of the Conference’s head coaches.
The All-Big 12 team was determined by the Clippd Rankings on April 23. Joining Bernat and Min-Gaulter on the team are Arizona’s Charlotte Back and Carolina Melgrati, the Arizona State quartet of Beth Coulter, Isla McDonald-O’Brien, Patience Rhodes and Paula Schultz-Hanssen, Kansas’ Lauren Clark, K-State’s Sophie Bert and Oklahoma State’s Grace Kilcrease.
