Big 12 Has 56 Selected in 2025 MLB Draft

All 14 Big 12 programs saw at least one player drafted in the 2025 MLB Draft, as a total of 56 players were selected by Major League Baseball organizations. It was the most picks for the Big 12 since the 2011 season and the most since the draft moved to its current 20-round length in 2021.

The Draft was highlighted by seven picks on Sunday night in rounds 1-3, followed by 49 on Monday in rounds 4-20.

Arizona and Arizona State led the Conference and tied for the fourth-most selections in this year’s draft with nine selections each. All nine of the Sun Devils selections came in the first 10 rounds, while Arizona collected three picks in the first four rounds.

It was the fifth-most in Arizona’s history, two shy of the program record of 11 (1986, 1993, 2008) and the most since 2008.
For Arizona State, it was the most since the Sun Devils had nine selections in 2015.
