IRVING, Texas – Led by BYU, K-State and Texas Tech with multiple award winners apiece, the Monster Energy Big 12 Football weekly honors recognized the Conference’s top performers. Houston and TCU also had players honored after a week of historic and standout performances in some of the biggest games in college football.

Bachmeier led BYU to a 28-24 victory over then-No. 2 Notre Dame, doing so without the services of reigning Big 12 Player of the Year LJ Martin at running back. The sophomore signal caller threw for 224 yards, rushed for 45 yards and scored a total of four times in the first-ever top-10 meeting in LaVell Edwards Stadium. With a touchdown catch in the first half, Bachmeier became the first BYU quarterback since Steve Young in the 1983 Holiday Bowl to record a passing, rushing and receiving touchdown in the same game.

With a career night of 343 passing yards and five passing touchdowns, Weigman guided Houston in its 35-32 win over then-No. 18 Oklahoma State. His 343 passing yards were the most by a Cougar in a ranked match-up since 2012 and his five scores through the air were the most ever by a Houston quarterback against a ranked opponent. The Cypress, Texas native is tied for the FBS lead in total touchdowns this season at 26 and is one of two FBS quarterbacks with 20 passing touchdowns and two or fewer interceptions thrown.

Hayward recorded a trio of sacks in a 17-6 TCU win over rival Baylor as part of a five-tackle day with a forced-fumble as well. The senior helped power the Horned Frogs’ defense limit the Bears to just six points after averaging 34.8 points per game heading into Saturday’s game. Hayward was the only player in FBS with three sacks in Week Seven and the first TCU player to achieve the feat since 2022.

Totaling nine tackles, including one for a loss, in Saturday’s top-10 showdown with Notre Dame, Uluave helped the Cougars’ defense hold the Irish 20 points below their scoring average and 80 yards fewer than their rushing average. He also recorded three hurries of Notre Dame QB CJ Carr.

Harrington contributed 17 of Texas Tech’s 53 points in its win over Arizona State. His quartet of field goals was one shy of his own school record, making kicks from 31, 34, 37 and 42 yards out. He is also just the fifth Big 12 kicker in league history to have four or more games with at least four field goals in a career.

With a perfect kicking day of 4-for-4 in field goals and 3-for-3 in extra points, Rodriguez’s 15 points were the difference in K-State’s 18th consecutive rivalry win over Kansas. His performance tied for the second-most field goals made in a game in school history, and the four made field goals tied the most in a Big 12 game this season.

McClellan recorded three tackles, including two for a loss, alongside a forced fumble and a pass breakup in his first career start. The true freshman also registered K-State’s first safety since 2024 in the rivalry win over the Jayhawks. His pass breakup came during a key drive late in the game as Kansas was moving the ball down the field.

BYU won in the trenches versus Notre Dame’s top-ranked defense, not allowing a sack of Bachmeier and totaling 360 yards of offense. The Cougars rushed for 121 yards to snap the Irish’s streak of seven consecutive games without allowing a 100-yard rusher. The unit’s stat line of zero sacks and two tackles for a loss allowed was below Notre Dame’s average of 2.5 sacks and 5.7 tackles for a loss per game.

Texas Tech’s defensive line helped amass a season high of six sacks in the dominant win over Arizona State.  The six sacks mark the most in a Big 12 Conference game this season and were the most by the Red Raiders since recording nine sacks last season versus Kansas. The Sun Devils were also only able to rush for 35 yards against the Red Raiders on Saturday.
