Kansas’ Tyson Owens (player and newcomer), Arizona’s Luc Fladda (co-pitcher) and UCF’s Camden Wicker (co-pitcher) were named the Big 12 Baseball Players of the Week for the 11th week of the 2026 season.
Owens helped power Kansas to a perfect 4–0 week with wins over then-No. 20 Nebraska and a three-game road sweep at intrastate rival Kansas State. The sophomore outfielder hit .625 (10-for-16) with nine runs, seven RBIs, three home runs and one double. He also posted a 1.250 slugging percentage and a 1.934 OPS. Owens recorded multiple hits in all four games, homered in three contests and drove in at least one run in every game. He delivered a game-tying home run against the Huskers in the sixth inning of a 9–7 win and added a go-ahead homer in the fifth inning of the series finale at Kansas State. His performance helped Kansas record its first three-game series sweep in Manhattan since 1963 and extend its program-record sixth consecutive Big 12 series victory.
Fladda turned in a dominant outing for Arizona, striking out a career-high 11 batters while allowing no runs on six hits in 6.2 innings during a 6–0 shutout win over BYU. The senior right-hander did not issue a walk and held BYU scoreless throughout his start. Fladda helped the Wildcats hold BYU scoreless for just the third time this season. His 11 strikeouts tied for the second-most strikeouts among Big 12 pitchers this week.
Wicker pitched a complete-game shutout to lead UCF to a 10–0 win over Utah and to help the Knights clinch a series sweep. The junior right-hander tossed a career-long 7.0 innings, allowing just two hits and no runs while striking out five and walking two. His 0.57 WHIP ranked third in the Conference for the week. He permitted only four baserunners in the contest and faced the minimum in three of his seven innings. The performance marked the first complete-game shutout of his career and UCF’s first since April 22, 2025. He is the fifth Big 12 pitcher to toss a complete game this season.
