Baylor’s Tyce Armstrong (player and co-newcomer) and Lucas Davenport (co-pitcher) joined Kansas’ Dominic Voegele (co-pitcher) and West Virginia’s Chansen Cole (co-newcomer) as Big 12 baseball award winners for the 12
th week of the 2026 season.
Armstrong tied Baylor’s single-season home run record as part of a five-home run week. The senior’s 21 homers this year are tied for the most in program history in a single season. The first baseman from Magnolia, Texas hit .563 (9-16) during the week, with all nine of his hits going for extra bases. He also drove in nine runs and scored five while helping the Bears to a 3-1 record. Armstrong has homered in five consecutive games, becoming the first player in Baylor history to do so.
Davenport became the first Bear to throw a complete game in four seasons when he did so in Saturday’s series-opening game of a doubleheader against Texas Tech. In the 8-1 Baylor victory, the junior struck out 11, one shy of his career-high, and did not allow a walk.
Voegele matched his career-high of 15 strikeouts in a complete game, 4-2 Kansas victory over Arizona. It marked the junior’s first career complete game and the first by a Jayhawk since Sam Ireland on March 4, 2023. Voegele retired the final 10 batters he faced and 14 of the last 15. The native of Columbia, Illinois has helped KU reach its best record in conference play through 24 games (20-4) in school history.
Cole had a complete game in the Mountaineers' 9-1 win over K-State. The sophomore right-hander allowed one run and struck out nine while only walking one batter. He gave up only five hits against a team that entered the weekend ranked in the top 10 nationally in scoring and top 20 in batting.
