Three Big 12 Standouts Earn Week 4 Runner of the Week Honors

IRVING, Texas - Oklahoma State's Denis Kipngetich (co-men's) and Billah Jepkirui (women's) along with Arizona's Evans Tunai (co-men's), earned Big 12 Runner of the Week honors for Week 4.   

Oklahoma State's Denis Kipngetich (men's) led his team to a second-place finish in the 6k at the Cowboy Jamboree on their home course. Kipngetich placed second in a field of 215 runners, crossing the line with a time of 23:25.4 and defeating multiple 2025 cross country All-Americans, including three-time NCAA champion and teammate, Brian Musau. 

 Arizona's Evans Tunai (men's) led the Wildcats to a second-place finish at the Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invite, defeating three top-25 teams after crossing the line with a time of 22:41.54 in the 8k to earn Co-Runner of the Week honors. 

OSU's Billah Jepkirui (women's) dominated her home course at the Cowboy Jamboree. Her performance also earned her USTFCCCA National Runner of the Week honors. Jepkirui broke the course record with a time of 19:24.4, surpassing the previous mark of 19:27.8 set by Katelyn Tuohy at the 2022 NCAA Cross Country Championships. She also shattered the meet record by over 25 seconds and defeated a field of runners from No. 2 New Mexico and No. 3 BYU.
