SAN ANTONIO - Top-seed Texas A&M scored one goal in the first half and added two more in the second period to upend No. 8 seed Missouri 3-1 in the first quarterfinal game of the 2005 Big 12 Soccer Championship at Blossom Soccer Stadium.
A&M, 14-3-2, advances to Friday's first semifinal at 4:30 p.m. CT against the winner of #4 Nebraska vs. #5 Kansas. Missouri falls to 9-8-3.
The Aggies got on the board in the first half when Ashlee Pistorius scored her Big 12-leading 16th goal of the year off a feed from Amy Berend. Amy's sister, Carrie Berend knocked in the game-winner unassisted with a shot from 24 yards out at the 68:51 mark.
Missouri scored with just under five minutes remaining in the game to cut the lead to 2-1 when Jennifer Nobis tucked one inside the right corner off assists from Amber Swinehart and Erica Pusch.
Kat Krambeer scored an insurance goal for Texas A&M with under a minute to play off a pass from Madison Klovstad.
The Aggies outshot Mizzou 21-13. MU goalkeeper Laura Buehrig collected eight saves while TAMU's Kati Jo Spisak had two.
