Hoffmann and Burke Named Big 12 Golfers of the Month for March

Morgan Hoffmann (Oklahoma State) and Hannah Burke (Baylor) were chosen as the Big 12 Golfers of the Month for competition through March, the conference office announced. This is the first-career league award for both golfers.

Hoffmann helped the Cowboys to runner-up finishes at both the Southern Highlands Collegiate and the Linger Longer Invitational. He shot a 62 in the second round at the SHC tournament in Las Vegas and tied for second place (72-62-76=210), matching the school’s 18-hole scoring record. Hoffmann tied for first (72-72-70=212) at the Morris Williams for his second career victory, while leading OSU to its first team title of the spring. The freshman is currently ranked No. 4 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index.

Hannah Burke, Baylor, Jr., Hertfordshire, England/Stanborough
Burke tallied a scoring average of 76 during March, while leading the Bears to a tournament title at the Cincinnati Invitational and third place at the Baylor Spring Invite. The junior from Hertfordshire, England, carded a three-round total of 227 (77-74-76) at the UC Invitational to finish third overall, tallying seventh top-five finish of her career. Earlier in the month, Burke tied for sixth at the Baylor Spring Invitate with a three-round score of 229 (77-73-79). Her 1-over, 73 during the second round was a tournament-low among the 19 Big 12 golfers at the 54-hole event.
