Big 12 women's basketball teams resume non-conference contests on Dec. 28 before beginning Conference action on Jan. 4.
The Big 12 continues to lead the country in non-conference win percentage and fewest number of losses with an 87-14 (.861) mark. The Conference opened the season at 29-1. Every league team has finished the non-conference portion of its schedule with a winning mark the past four years.
The Conference also has the highest winning percentage and fewest number of losses in home games at 60-3 (.952). Last season, the Big 12 led the nation in both non-conference win percentage (.790) and home non-conference win percentage (.946).
The Big 12 claims the best win percentage of the six BCS leagues in competition against each other.
The Big 12 is the only conference in which every team has a .700 winning percentage or higher, and is one of just two leagues in which every team has a winning record.
The Big 12 has three of the nation's eight undefeated squads (Baylor, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State) and is the only league with more than one.
The Big 12 is listed first in the Sagarin and Women's RPI ratings. Baylor is also ranked in the top spot among all teams by Sagarin.
The Big 12 has played 14 games against Top 25 non-conference opponents with a 7-7 mark.
Every Big 12 squad is averaging double-digit wins over opponents with Oklahoma State and Baylor beating opponents by over 30 points a game.
Baylor remains the unanimous No. 1 selection in the Dec. 26 Associated Press Poll with all 40 first-place ballots. Other Big 12 rankings are No. 10 Texas A&M, No. 13 Texas Tech and No. 22 Texas. Kansas received votes.
Baylor also remained No. 1 in the coaches poll followed by No. 9 Texas A&M, No. 18 Texas Tech and No. 25 Texas. Kansas received votes.
The Big 12 has a team ranked No. 1 by the coaches for the 19th week in Conference history, and by the media for the 17th week.
