Baylor, Texas Tech and Kansas State remain unscathed at 2-0 in conference play after the first week of action. BU and TTU also are two of the last four undefeated teams nationally in all games.

Five Big 12 squads are ranked in the top 11 in NCAA stats for field goal percentage defense, led by No. 1 Oklahoma State (.289). Others are No. 3 Baylor (.302), No. 6 Texas (.319), No. 7 Missouri (.322) and No. 11 Kansas State (.327).

Kansas (.494) is the nation's leader in field goal percentage offense and joined in the top 12 by No. 3 Baylor (.489) and No. 12 Oklahoma (.461).

Baylor (8.3), Texas (7.6) and Missouri (7.3) are the top three national leaders in blocks and the only squads averaging at least 7.0 a game.

The Big 12 continues to lead the country in non-conference win percentage and fewest number of losses with a 99-15 (.868) mark. The Conference opened the year at 29-1. One regular season non-conference game remains on Feb. 12 when Connecticut travels to Oklahoma.

Every league team has finished the non-conference portion of its schedule with a winning mark for the fifth consecutive season.

The Conference also has the highest winning percentage and fewest number of losses in home non-league games at 68-3 (.958). Last season, the Big 12 also led the nation in both non-conference win percentage (.790) and home non-conference win percentage (.946).

The Big 12 claims the best win percentage (.676) of the six BCS leagues in competition against each other. The Big 12 is the only of the six that is .500 or better against the other five.

The Big 12 is the only conference in which every team had a .700 winning percentage or higher in non-conference games, and is one of just two leagues in which every team has a winning record.

The Big 12 is listed first in the Sagarin and Women's RPI ratings. Every Big 12 squad is in the top 80 in the Women's RPI with four in top 20.

Baylor remains the unanimous No. 1 selection in the Jan. 9 Associated Press Poll with all 39 first-place ballots. Other Big 12 rankings are No. 10 Texas Tech and No. 12 Texas A&M. Kansas State, Kansas and Texas received votes.

Baylor also remained No. 1 in the latest coaches poll followed by No. 8 Texas A&M, No. 17 Texas Tech and No. 25 Texas. Kansas received votes.

The Big 12 has a team ranked No. 1 by the coaches for the 20th week in Conference history, and by the media for the 19th week.
