Kansas’ Ben Welle and Texas Tech’s Kimmy Hill received Big 12 Golfer of the Month honors for the month of November, the league announced.

Welle carded five birdies in shooting a 3-under 68 for his first round at the Ka’anapali Golf Course in Lahaina, Hawaii. For his three rounds, Welle had 11 birdies to finish at par in the 73 man event. His effort was good enough to help Kansas finish fourth, the team’s fifth top-five finish in six events. Welle leads Kansas with a 71.5 per round average and has four rounds in the 60s and three top 10 finishes this season.
Kimmy Hill, Texas Tech, Jr., Palm Desert, Calif.
Hill capped off her final fall tournament with a 2-under par 70 to finish in third place individually and lead Texas Tech to a third place finish in the team standings at the Jim West Challenge at Tapatio Resort. Hill carded only one bogey in her final round to go with 14 pars and three birdies.
