Baylor Maintains Lead in Big 12 Women?s Golf Championship

Baylor holds a 10-stroke advantage through day two of the Big 12 Women’s Golf Championship at the Dominion Country Club in San Antonio, Texas.

Baylor carded a 291 in the second round of play to pull the Bears to a 573, three-under par two round total. The Bears lead Texas Tech who sits in second place with a 583, seven-over par, through the second day of competition. Oklahoma State rounds out the top three after shooting a 293 in the second day of play to be a combined 585 (+8).

Iowa State sits in fourth position with a combined 590 (+14) followed by TCU at 591 (+15). The Longhorns check in the sixth spot after a second round 296 left UT. Oklahoma fell two spots on day two after recording a 302 second round to bring its total to 597. Kansas and Kansas State round out the rankings with a combined score of 602 and 606, respectively. 

In Individual play, Oklahoma State’s Kenzie Neisen reclaimed the top spot on the leader board after having lost it in the final round of yesterday’s match. Her 139 (-5) put her three strokes ahead of Kansas’ Yupaporn Kawinpakorn who climbed nine spots after carding a 69 on day two. 

The third and final round of the 2015 Big 12 Women’s Golf Championship will take place Sunday beginning at 8:00 a.m. CT. The awards presentation will follow.
