Five Big 12 softball programs were mentioned in the ESPN.com/USA Softball preseason top-25 poll.

Oklahoma led the Conference with a No. 3 ranking, while receiving three first-place votes. The Sooners were ranked in the top-5 in all four preseason polls after finishing as runner-up at the Women’s College World Series a season ago.

Texas narrowly missed the top-5, coming in at No. 6, followed by No. 13 Oklahoma State and No. 19 Texas Tech. Baylor also received votes.

The 2020 Big 12 softball season begins Feb. 6 with Conference play set to begin on March 20.
