TCU’s Ashleigh Scully (Fences), Shea Graham (Horsemanship) and Giorgia Medows (Reining) along with Baylor’s Annie Vorhies (Flats) collected Riders of the Month honors for October.
Scully posted a 4-0 record and earned two sets of Most Outstanding Performer (MOP) accolades. Three of her four victories came in road or neutral site meets including individual victories against No. 10 Baylor, Delaware State and No. 10 UT Martin. Both MOP accolades came against ranked opponents (No. 10 UT Martin and No. 2 Oklahoma State). Scully owns a 5-0 record this season with four of those victories coming against NCEA top-10 opponents.
Vorhies earned her second award of the season after scoring a career-high of 90 in Flat against No. 4 Oklahoma State. The Flat score is the highest Baylor has recorded this season and helped her notch her first career MOP in the event. The Canton, Georgia native also recorded the largest point spread in Flat (18) vs. No. 1 TCU earlier in the month, to help Baylor sweep the event 5-0. Vorhies was named Fences Rider of the Month for September.
Graham posted a 3-1 record and secured her first MOP accolade of the season in a 12-8 TCU road victory over Delaware State. After earning MOP against the Hornets, the junior finished the month with individual wins against No. 10 Baylor and No. 2 Oklahoma State.
Medows earned her second award of the season with a 4-0 record in the month of October. She earned two MOP honors against UT Martin as she earned a point for the Horned Frogs in both Horsemanship and Reining. Medows remains undefeated in reining with a 5-0 record, with four of those wins coming against NCEA top-10 opponents. The junior was Horsemanship Rider of the Month for September.
