Baylor, Fresno State and Oklahoma State Take Home Final Big 12 Monthly Equestrian Awards

Baylor’s Lauren Jorgensen (flat), Fresno State’s Sage Lindvall (fences), Shelby Robinette (reining) and Oklahoma State’s Bella D’Onofrio (horsemanship) took home the final Big 12 Equestrian monthly awards.

Lindvall capped off the regular season by going 3-0 in the fences discipline for March. In the Bulldogs' victory against UT Martin, the junior posted her highest score of 83.5 and earned MOP honors. Later, she led Fresno State to a win over Baylor with an 82.5-point ride to secure her point. At the Big 12 Championship, Lindvall was the only Bulldog to collect a point in fences, scoring 81 points against TCU.

In the flat discipline, Jorgensen finished March undefeated. The senior helped the Bears to victory over UT Martin, posting a 77-point ride and securing her point. Against Fresno State, she contributed an 84-point victory for Baylor, earning MOP honors in the process. In the Championship, Jorgensen captured her point in an 80.33-78.67 victory over Oklahoma State.  

D’Onofrio closed the year with a 3-0 record for March. The junior averaged a score of 76.36 in her final three regular-season rides. Against SMU, she posted her best ride of the season with a score of 78.75. At the Big 12 championship, D’Onofrio earned both her points in horsemanship en route to Oklahoma State capturing its sixth Big 12 title.

For the reining discipline, Robinette went on a three-ride win streak in the month of March. The senior averaged 69.94 in her three rides, winning by at least three points in each ride. Robinette recorded her highest score of the month against UT-Martin with a 71.25-point ride. In the last Conference meet of the year, Robinette helped the Bulldogs seal the victory over Baylor, recording a score of 70.25 to earn her point. In the semifinal round of the Big 12 championship, she captured her third win of the month with a 68.33 ride against TCU.
