Tennessee’s 1V8 received its fourth Big 12 Boat of the Week award after posting a 7-2 record last weekend in the Big Ten Invitational, including two wins over ranked teams.
 
In the first session of the day, the 18th-ranked Lady Vols defeated No. 20 Indiana, Dartmouth and Michigan State with a time of 6:31.323. During the afternoon slate, Tennessee crossed the finish line first with a 6:34.529 mark to top 12th-ranked Virginia, Iowa and Wisconsin. UT’s wins against top-20 opponents marked the third and fourth victories over ranked squads this season for the 1V8 boat. In the final session of the regatta, the varsity eight posted its fastest time of the weekend (6:29.800), defeating Minnesota but narrowly falling to No. 20 Indiana (6:23.257) and No. 10 Duke (6:24.984).
