UCF CAPTURES SECOND CONSECUTIVE BIG 12 ROWING CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTED BY ALLSTATE
SARASOTA, Fla. - UCF swept all five races at Nathan Benderson Park to win their second-consecutive 2026 Big 12 Rowing Championship presented by Allstate.
The UCF 1V4+ finished in 7:10.098, pulling away for a nearly 14-second victory while the Knights’ Second Four found open water to come in first place by nearly 13 seconds. UCF’s Varsity Eight captured a 13-second victory, crossing the finish line in 6:16.468, and their Second Eight finished in 6:31.848, almost 11 seconds ahead of the second-place boat. Their 3V8+ had a time of 6:41.058, capturing the day’s first scoring race by six seconds.
Kansas finished second with 61 points, behind UCF’s total score of 81. Tulsa was third with 53 points, followed by West Virginia with 36, Old Dominion with 26 and K-State with 20.
In addition to winning the Big 12 Championship, the Knights captured the Conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. The NCAA Championships are set for May 29-31 at Lake Lanier Olympic Park in Gainesville, Georgia with the full field announced on Tuesday, May 19.
