Campbell and Doersching Lead Oklahoma State over Baylor in Elimination Game at Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship 

ARLINGTON, Texas – No. 4 seed Oklahoma State (37-19) defeated No. 8 seed Baylor (26-28), 11-1, in game five of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship at Globe Life Field in seven innings. 
 
Following a scoreless first inning and a hitless second inning for Baylor, Oklahoma State struck first. With runners on the corners, OSU sophomore Marcus Brown knocked in the first run of the game with a single to left field. 
 
The Bears quickly answered in the top of the third inning. An Alex Gonzales RBI tied the contest at one apiece with a groundout to shortstop, scoring the runner from third. 
 
Moments later, the Cowboys would take the lead back with a three-run home run (447ft) from Griffin Doersching, pushing the lead to 4-1 in favor of OSU. 
 
Oklahoma State would add to their lead in the bottom of the fourth inning. A single from Zach Ehrhard through the right side would plate a run. Later in the inning, Jake Thompson would stretch the lead to 6-1 with a sacrifice fly to right field. 
 
In the sixth inning, freshman Roc Riggio hit a solo home run to deep right field, adding to the Cowboys' lead. Nolan McLean extended the lead with an RBI double scoring the eighth run of the game for OSU. 
 
In the next inning, Oklahoma State’s Chase Adkison scored from third on a wild pitch. Thompson ended the game early with a two-run single to left field and a Baylor error. 
 
Senior Jake Jackson (L, 4-5) pitched 2.1 innings giving up five hits, four runs,three earned, for the Bears.
 
Sophomore Justin Campbell (W, 9-2) struck out 10 batters in a complete-game effort for the Cowboys. Campbell gave up three hits and gave up one unearned run. It was the 11th time in his career the pitcher struck out 10+ batters. 
 
Oklahoma State will move on to face the loser of game seven between No. 1 TCU and No. 5 Texas on Friday, May 27th at 3:15 p.m. CT on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
