IRVING, Texas -- Today, the Big 12 Conference announced that three-time Grammy award-winning hitmaker NE-YO will perform at halftime of the 2024 Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship on Saturday, Dec. 7 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. As the Big 12 Conference continues to balance innovation with tradition, NE-YO will be joined by both marching bands of participating programs during his performance.
“We are thrilled to welcome NE-YO as the 2024 Football Championship halftime performer,” said Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark. “The Big 12 continues to infuse culture and entertainment into our league’s biggest moments, balancing it with the traditions that make college athletics so special. With both school bands joining the performance, the annual halftime show will continue to blend the old with the new.”
“I’m honored to be named the halftime performer for this year’s Big 12 Football Championship for a special celebration of music, sports and entertainment,” NE-YO said. “The atmosphere is going to be electric, and I can’t wait for everyone to watch how we integrate the marching bands into the performance for an unforgettable show.”
As a solo artist, NE-YO has cemented his legacy as one of the all-time hitmakers, winning three GRAMMY awards, earning two No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 and generating over 23 billion streams across his entire music catalog.
His iconic discography was celebrated earlier this year, when he performed his
NPR Tiny Desk concert that included chart-topping hits such as
“So Sick,” “Sexy Love,” “Because of You” and
“Miss Independent.” During the summer, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced that NE-YO’s collaboration with Pitbull and Afrojack on
“Give Me Everything” was officially certified diamond with over 10 million equivalent units sold.
The 2024 Dr Pepper Big 12 Football Championship will air at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, Dec. 7 on ABC. Tickets are available for purchase exclusively at
