TCU’s Nigel Forbes (men’s swimmer), Shea Skarda (men’s newcomer) and Audrey Worgull (women’s co-newcomer) were joined by Kansas’ pair of Hailey Farrell (women’s swimmer) and Kelly Estebo (women’s diver and co-newcomer) as the recipients of the Big 12 Swimming & Diving weekly awards for competition ending Dec. 14.
 
Forbes led the Horned Frogs against Oklahoma Christian, winning two individual events and earning a bronze relay medal. The junior from Grand Bahama, Bahamas finished first in the 50 fly (22.05) and 100 free (46.10) and posted a 20.98 leadoff split in the 200 free relay. Forbes is the second Horned Frog to be named Big 12 Swimmer of the Week this season.
 
Skarda, a freshman from Kirkland, Washington, earned a victory and a silver medal in the dual meet against Oklahoma Christian. Skarda took first in the 200 individual medley (1:57.35) and placed second in the 50 breast (26.33). It is the first Big 12 weekly award of his career.
 
Farrell led the Jayhawks against Rockhurst, posting personal bests in all three events she entered, including a new Robinson Natatorium Pool record in the 200-yard individual medley (2:01.31). The senior from Hutchinson, Minnesota, also recorded personal records in the 100 backstroke (56.55) and 200 backstroke (2:01.96), finishing second in both as exhibition swims. It is the first Big 12 weekly award for the 2024 Big 12 All-Academic First Team member.
 
Estebo swept the diving competition in her Kansas meet debut, claiming first place in both the 3-meter (272.78) and 1-meter (259.28) events against Rockhurst. The freshman from Rosemount, Minnesota helped the Jayhawks defeat Rockhurst 202-48. Estebo is the second Jayhawk to earn Big 12 Women’s Diver of the Week this season.
 
Worgull contributed two individual victories for TCU in their win over Oklahoma Christian, taking first in the 50 backstroke (26.85) and 100 backstroke (56.70). The freshman from Hartland, Wisconsin, also helped her relay team to a second-place finish in the 200 free relay with a 25.02 split. It is her first career Big 12 weekly Conference award.
