Arizona’s Miranda Stoddard earned Big 12 Softball Player of the Week while Oklahoma State’s Katie Kutz claimed the Pitcher of the Week honor for their performances during Week Two of the 2025 season.
Stoddard procured a .833 batting average after collecting 10 hits in 12 at-bats in her five games. During the doubleheader against South Alabama, she had a perfect on-base percentage in six plate appearances while hitting four home runs. The graduate student then marked her second-consecutive game with four RBIs as the Wildcats run-ruled Cal State Fullerton 10-1. Stoddard led the league last week with 12 RBIs, 10 hits, seven runs and six home runs to help Arizona go undefeated 5-0. This is the pitcher/infielder’s first career Big 12 weekly award and the second player from Arizona to capture the award this season. Stoddard was also named the DI Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player of the Week.
Kutz was in the circle in four of the Cowgirls’ five contests at the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational as she faced multiple top-25 teams. She earned three wins against then-No. 23/24 Kentucky, No. 5/5 Texas A&M and No. 14/12 Alabama with the sophomore also pitching three scoreless innings against unranked Auburn. She pitched 11.2 innings, recorded 10 strikeouts and had a 1.20 ERA during the week while only allowing five runs. This is the McLean, Virginia native’s first Big 12 award.
