BURLESON, Texas – No. 2-seeded Oklahoma State defeated top-seeded TCU 11-8 for its fifth consecutive Big 12 Equestrian Championship title and 11
th in program history. It marked the fifth straight time the two programs have met in the Championship final.
The 2025 Big 12 Equestrian yearly awards were announced after the Championship with all four programs represented. Baylor’s Alexis Rutledge was named the 2025 Big 12 Horsemanship Rider of the Year while Oklahoma State’s Riley Hogan was named the Flat Rider of the Year as well as the Fences Co-Rider of the Year. TCU’s Shea Graham (reining) and Ashleigh Scully (fences co-rider) rounded out the Rider of the Year awards while Haley Schoolfield added one more accolade for the Horned Frogs as the Coach of the Year.
For the All-Big 12 Fences team, Hogan and Scully were joined by Lauren Jorgensen (Baylor), Paris Mahoney (Fresno State) and Lilly Goldstein (TCU). Hogan and Mahoney were also named to the All-Big 12 Flat team along with Lauren Reid (Baylor), Ella Bostwick (TCU) and Laurel Smith (TCU). Oklahoma State garnered a Conference-leading two selections for the All-Big 12 Horsemanship team With Claire McDowall and June Roberson being accompanied by Alexis Rutledge (Baylor), Kendra Lee (Fresno State) and Jessica McAllister (TCU). McAllister was also voted to the All-Big 12 Reining team as well as Brogan Hill (Fresno State), Abby Budd (Oklahoma State), Emma Filiatreau (Oklahoma State) and Shea Graham (TCU) to complete the All-Big 12 selections.

The Cowgirls took three of the four disciplines while only giving up one point in the fences and reining disciplines. In fences, Hogan led the way with an MOP-earning score of 89.667. Emma Hechtman (82.333), Bella Holway (86.333) and Mackenzie Carreras (85.00) added three more points for OSU while Scully scored the lone point of the discipline for the Horned Frogs in fences (84.333).
TCU took four of the five flat points as Lex Lipacis earned MOP honors with a meet-high score of 90.667. Smith (80.00), Goldstein (84.333) and Bostwick (85.00) secured the remaining three points while Hogan scored one more point for the Cowgirls to even things up in the jumping seat totals at 5-5.
In the closest discipline of the day, Oklahoma State outscored TCU by one point in horsemanship. Elizabeth West (TCU) and June Roberson (OSU) each finished with a match-high score of 76.833 to tally a point for each team. McAllister (74.00) added a second horsemanship point for the Horned Frogs while Peyton Baxter (75.50) and Bella D’Onofrio (75.00) clinched the discipline for the Cowgirls. West earned the horsemanship MOP recognition for the Championship.
OSU took the reining discipline 3-1 as Filiatreau (70.00), Tristan Bagby (70.667) and Ava Bush (72.00) compiled the final three points to give OSU 11 points for the day. Graham took home the reining MOP with a 72.833 performance to notch the lone point for TCU in the discipline, bringing the final score to 11-8.
