Arizona’s Devyn Netz (pitcher) and Iowa State’s Tatum Johnson (player) earned Big 12 softball weekly honors for their performances during Week 12 of the 2025 campaign.
Netz claims her second weekly honor this season after pitching 12.2 innings in three of Arizona’s four contests last week against New Mexico State and San Diego State, earning two wins. She posted a 0.00 ERA while only surrendering five hits and collecting nine strikeouts. Netz took part in the Wildcats’ offense as she was in the batting lineup in all four games last week, garnering three runs and four RBI with a .417 batting average. Netz and Arizona finish their regular season at Houston this week while the senior will also learn which AUSL (Athletes Unlimited Softball League) she is assigned to Saturday evening.
Johnson led the Cyclones with a .533 batting average during the week after six games against South Dakota State, UNI and Utah. Against the Panthers, she hit two homers and earned two RBI and two runs before she tied a season-high three runs in the series opener against the Utes. The junior from Chino Hills, California, posted a league-most eight runs in 15 at-bats and reached base on 72% of her chances last week. This is her first career Big 12 weekly honor. The Cyclones host Baylor in the season’s final week.
